Early Careers & Development Advisor - 12 month FTC
A leading international law firm is looking for an Early Careers & Development Advisor to join its London team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a broad and hands-on role supporting the recruitment, development and overall experience of future trainees, vacation scheme students and solicitor apprentices. It would suit someone already working in early careers or graduate recruitment who is looking to step into a varied advisor-level position with real ownership.
The role will cover both recruitment and development, including attraction strategy, university engagement, assessment processes, onboarding, trainee development, seat rotations, SQE coordination and secondments. There is also a strong events and brand element, with responsibility for helping to deliver outreach initiatives, vacation schemes and social media activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of the firm's early careers recruitment and development programme
* Helping to shape attraction and outreach activity across universities and student audiences
* Managing events, presentations, law fairs and networking opportunities
* Supporting application screening, interviews, assessment processes and candidate feedback
* Playing a lead role in the organisation and delivery of vacation schemes
* Coordinating trainee induction, seat rotations, ongoing training and qualification processes
* Supporting solicitor apprenticeship and secondment processes
* Building strong relationships internally and externally, including with universities, law societies and training providers
* Meeting regularly with trainees and helping to support their development journey
The successful candidate is likely to have:
* Experience in an early careers, graduate recruitment or development role
* Professional services experience, ideally within a law firm
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive, enthusiastic and highly organised approach
* Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in early talent development
This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing environment in a role with strong visibility and a genuine mix of recruitment, development, events and stakeholder management.
