This opportunity is likely to suit a newly qualified lawyer or a lawyer with up to around 2 years' PQE who is interested in moving into a commercially focused, stakeholder-facing role within a high-performing firm environment. Previous conflicts experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. Strong junior lawyers moving from fee-earning roles will be considered where they can clearly demonstrate their motivation for making the move.
This is a visible role within a well-established global team, working closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. The team is seen as a genuine business-enabling function, balancing sound risk management with commercial judgement and practical decision-making.
The London team is in growth mode, making this a particularly interesting time to join.
The role will involve:
* Reviewing escalated conflicts searches and providing clear, practical guidance
* Reviewing and approving new clients and matters in line with internal policies and procedures
* Analysing conflicts reports and identifying legal and commercial issues
* Preparing conflicts summaries and proposed resolutions, including waivers, screens and internal clearances

Conflicts & AML Analyst
I'm working on a really interesting opportunity for a Conflicts & AML Analyst to join the London office of a top-tier international law firm with a highly regarded global platform and a growing risk and new business intake team. This is a particularly exciting time to be joining, with the wider team expanding and the function continuing to grow in profile and sophistication.
This is not a back-office role hidden away from the business. It is a visible, business-critical position sitting at the heart of client onboarding, conflicts clearance and anti-money laundering analysis, with regular interaction with partners, senior fee earners and senior leadership. The successful hire will be joining a high-performing team that plays an essential role in helping the firm assess risk, support new business and navigate increasingly complex cross-border matters.
The role will suit someone who already has strong AML and client due diligence experience within a US or international law firm environment, along with exposure to conflicts work, and who is confident balancing technical accuracy with commercial awareness. You will be involved in researching and verifying new clients, carrying out detailed AML reviews, analysing client and matter risk, conducting conflicts checks, preparing search reports, supporting on sanctions and adverse media screening, and helping guide internal stakeholders through policy and process. There is also genuine opportunity here to work on more nuanced and higher-risk matters, including enhanced due diligence and complex client structures, with regular exposure to senior decision-makers including MLRO-level stakeholders.
The firm is looking for someone with strong judgement, a calm and credible manner, and the confidence to engage directly with fee earners in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be highly organised, comfortable handling confidential information and able to manage competing priorities without losing sight of detail. Experience using Intapp Open and research tools such as WorldCheck, Orbis or S&P Capital IQ will be helpful, as will prior exposure to legal compliance screening and law firm conflicts processes. A law degree or other legal qualification would be welcomed, but the key focus is on relevant experience, sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a stakeholder-facing role.
For someone already working in a law firm AML or conflicts function and looking for a broader, more visible role within a prestigious international environment, this is a very strong opportunity. The salary is market rate, alongside a competitive benefits package and hybrid working.
Structured Finance Lawyer - People, Performance & Resourcing
A rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified lawyer to step into a strategic, high-impact role within the London office of a leading international law firm.
This position sits directly alongside a high-performing transactional practice and is designed for a lawyer who wants to stay close to complex legal work, talented people and the commercial realities of a busy team, while moving away from the traditional fee-earning track.
You will be embedded within a specialist finance group, working closely with partners, associates and trainees. The role combines lawyer development, performance support, team resourcing, training coordination and broader strategic input into how the practice grows and operates.
This is an ideal move for a lawyer who enjoys the people side of practice as much as the technical side, and who is interested in shaping careers, supporting team performance and helping a top-tier practice run at its best.
The firm is a globally recognised law firm with a standout reputation for complex cross-border work, known for the quality of its finance practice, international reach and high-calibre client base. The London office is well established, ambitious and deeply integrated into the wider global platform.
The role will involve:
* building a strong understanding of the practice, its people, workflows and client demands
* working with partners on lawyer allocation across matters, balancing workload and development needs
* supporting performance review processes for associates, counsel and trainees
* helping identify training and development priorities across the team
* advising lawyers on progression, performance and career development
* supporting tailored inductions for new joiners and trainees
* partnering with HR and leadership on recruitment, retention, team support and exits
* contributing to wider projects around benchmarking, change and team effectiveness
The ideal background:
* qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' experience in practice
* ideally from structured finance, alternative investments or another busy transactional discipline
* credible with senior lawyers and confident operating in a high-performing legal environment
* strong interpersonal and communication skills
* highly organised, commercially aware and proactive
* someone who enjoys people, performance and the broader mechanics of a successful legal team
This is a genuinely different opportunity for a lawyer who wants to remain in the legal world, in a sophisticated and intellectually strong environment, but in a role with a different kind of impact.
