An elite US law firm in London is seeking a talented 3-4 PQE Associate to join its highly regarded Private Credit Funds team.
The Practice
The team sits within a top-tier global funds platform and is recognised for advising leading credit managers on the formation and operation of private credit funds across a broad spectrum of strategies, including direct lending, special situations, opportunistic credit and hybrid capital.
The London practice works closely with market-leading leveraged finance and restructuring teams, offering associates exposure to the full credit lifecycle and a sophisticated sponsor client base.
The Role
You will advise on:
- Structuring and formation of private credit funds (closed-ended and evergreen)
- Co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts
- GP and management company structuring
- Carried interest and incentive arrangements
- Investor negotiations and ongoing governance matters
The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to work on complex, cross-border mandates within a high-performing and collaborative environment.
The Candidate
- 3-4 years' PQE from a leading City, US, international firms or a strong in-house background
- Strong private funds formation experience (credit exposure advantageous)
- Excellent technical drafting skills and commercial judgement
- Confident managing workstreams and engaging with sophisticated sponsor clients
- Ambitious and keen to build a long-term career within a premium US platform

* Capital markets-related work
* Multi-jurisdictional deals with major financial institutions
* High-value, sophisticated transactions in a fast-moving environment
The ideal candidate:
* French-qualified lawyer (avocat)
* Junior level (approximately 1-3 PQE)
* Strong background in structured finance and/or derivatives
* Excellent drafting skills in English (French an advantage)
* Commercial, proactive, and keen to develop within a top international platform
