Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking an experienced lawyer to lead its Digital Marketing Legal team, supporting a growing consumer banking business across the UK and Europe.
The role will lead a small legal team, advising on financial promotions, advertising and marketing campaigns across digital, social and traditional channels. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide commercially focused legal advice, negotiate marketing-related agreements, and help drive compliant innovation.
Key requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 years of in-house experience or a top tier law firm, advising on marketing for regulated consumer products.
- Prior retail and consumer experience would be key.
- Strong knowledge of UK financial promotions, advertising regulation and GDPR.
- Experience negotiating marketing, agency and technology agreements.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills.
Any experience in EU jurisdictions would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate fund formation documents, including LPAs, PPMs, side letters and subscription agreements.

The successful candidate will advise on the structuring, documentation, negotiation and execution of complex transactions, while partnering closely with Front Office, Compliance and other key stakeholders.
The role requires strong expertise in Prospectus Regulation, retail structured products and cross-border distribution across European markets. Candidates should have experience advising on MiFID II, PRIIPs and product governance requirements, alongside a proven ability to manage legal and regulatory risks in a commercial environment.
