Legal Counsel - Funds
A leading global investment manager, headquartered in the US, is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its London legal team.
This is a broad, international role offering exposure to fund formation, product development, distribution arrangements, regulatory matters and strategic business initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting a growing global platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate fund formation documents, including LPAs, PPMs, side letters and subscription agreements.
- Advise on investment management, distribution and other commercial agreements.
- Support new product launches, market expansion and regulatory initiatives.
- Provide advice on asset management regulatory developments.
- Assist with corporate governance and wider legal projects across the business.
About You
- Qualified lawyer (E&W) with 3-5 years' PQE.
- Experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house within asset management, banking, private credit or alternatives.
- Strong fund formation and asset management experience.
- Commercially minded with excellent drafting and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working across jurisdictions in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Interest in legal technology and AI-enabled tools is advantageous.

It is a senior strategic role and they are ideally looking for someone with a minimum of 12 years of experience from a leading in-house institution or a law firm. The candidate would have a solid transactional public and private securitisation experience as well as good understanding of the regulatory landscape impacting this area.
Prior in-house experience, even in the form of a secondment would be very advantageous.
Legal Counsel - Trade Finance Lawyer
We are working with a growing international investment bank who are looking to expand in London by adding another Trade finance lawyer to the legal team.
They are looking for an experienced trade finance lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of experience from a leading in-house institution or a law firm. The role will be covering a broad range of trade finance work including distribution, supply chain finance, receivables financing and discounting, trade instrument issuances as well as broader finance work across syndicated and bilateral lending. Prior experience in all areas is not required.
The ideal candidate will have broad experience and willingness to turn their hand to work they haven't done but would be keen to learn.
