Montresor are mandated by a leading financial services institution is seeking an experienced Structured Finance Legal Vice President to join its Markets Legal team in London. This role offers the opportunity to advise on complex securitisation, structured finance, and risk transfer transactions across a diverse range of asset classes. This team offers a genuine range of work across a range of structured finance matters, which can be hard to come by in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and transactional support for securitisation, portfolio risk transfer, and structured financing activities.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate key legal documentation including offering materials, termsheets, engagement letters, and legal opinions.

  • Advise on relevant laws, rules, and regulations impacting structured finance and securitisation activities.

  • Support business units in managing legal and reputational risks, ensuring compliance with internal governance and external regulation.

  • Contribute to the development of best-practice legal frameworks, template documentation, and training initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance and risk, to deliver commercially effective solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified UK lawyer with strong post-qualification experience in structured finance or securitisation.

  • Deep technical understanding of structured finance regulations and transaction structures.

  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and collaborate across multiple business areas.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and communication skills with a strategic mindset.

About the Role

A leading international financial institution is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its Leveraged Finance team, which originates, structures, executes, and manages complex cross-border leveraged finance transactions.

You will act as a key legal adviser to the team, supporting the origination and execution of a wide range of debt transactions, including acquisition finance, second lien, term loan B (TLB), and high-yield bonds.

This role will suit a lawyer with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment and has strong market knowledge of the UK and European leveraged lending markets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex, sponsor-backed leveraged finance transactions across the UK and Europe

  • Draft, review, and negotiate facility agreements, inter-creditor agreements, mandate and commitment letters, term sheets, and other transaction documents through to post-closing

  • Manage legal and regulatory risk, ensuring transactions align with internal policies and market standards

  • Develop and maintain internal precedents and know-how, and provide training and guidance to non-legal teams on leveraged finance documentation and legal risk

  • Support the wider debt finance legal function on transactions in areas such as fund finance, real estate finance, project finance, structured credit, and secondary loan trading

  • Provide English law advice and guidance on relevant UK regulatory matters impacting wholesale banking activities

  • Work collaboratively with business units, senior stakeholders, and external counsel to deliver pragmatic, timely advice

 

About You

  • Qualified lawyer with solid experience in leveraged or acquisition finance, gained in private practice or in-house at a leading financial institution

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK and EU leveraged lending markets and documentation

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Commercially astute, adaptable, and able to manage multiple transactions under pressure

  • Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team

A market-leading residential property group is seeking an In-House Property Lawyer to join its established legal team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of property law, building safety, and compliance, tackling some of the most topical and high-profile issues in the UK property sector today.

The organisation manages a significant residential portfolio across England and Wales and plays a central role in ensuring safety, transparency, and good governance in property management. The legal team sits at the heart of that mission, advising on everything from landlord & tenant and building safety matters to portfolio transactions and dispute resolution.

The business is open-minded on background and will consider candidates from one of two main routes:

1) Property & Compliance Lawyer

Ideal for a junior solicitor with strong real estate or landlord & tenant experience, looking to broaden their in-house exposure. You'll advise on a range of property, leasehold, and compliance matters, work with external solicitors on disputes, and support internal teams on processes, templates, and operational governance.

2) Construction & Building Safety Lawyer

Suitable for a solicitor with some experience in construction or building safety law, either contentious or non-contentious. You'll work on high-value building remediation projects, advise on the Building Safety Act 2022, Defective Premises Act, and related frameworks, and liaise with external counsel on claims, contracts, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on property, leasehold, and regulatory matters across a varied caseload.
  • Manage or support building safety and remediation projects in line with current legislation.
  • Instruct and oversee external solicitors and consultants where appropriate.
  • Draft, review, and advise on deeds, licences, construction contracts, and warranties.
  • Provide internal training and support to operational teams on compliance and property law.
  • Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes affecting the housing and building safety landscape.

About You

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales), ideally 2-3 years' PQE.
  • Background in property, construction, or landlord & tenant law.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills, with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and confident in managing varied and complex workstreams.
  • Experience with building safety or remediation legislation would be a distinct advantage.
