Business Development Manager - Finance Department

A leading law firm is seeking a Russian-speaking Paralegal to join it's Litigation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting fee earners on complex, cross-border disputes, preparing and reviewing documents, conducting research, and liaising with clients in both English and Russian.

Fluency in written and spoken Russian and English is essential, along with prior experience as a paralegal in commercial litigation or business crime. A leading law firm is looking for a talented Leverage Finance Paralegal to join its busy banking and finance team on a contract basis. You'll work closely with lawyers on high-value leveraged finance transactions, supporting across documentation, deal management, and client coordination.

We are looking for someone with previous banking or finance experience, ideally within a law firm. An interest in AI and technology in legal work would be a plus, but it's not essential. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are key.

The Role

• Provide advanced support on commercial litigation, arbitration, and asset recovery cases.
• Manage document review and disclosure using leading e-disclosure platforms (Relativity, Everlaw, etc.).
• Draft, review, and prepare complex litigation documents with accuracy and commercial judgement.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, and overseas partners.
• Coordinate multi-jurisdictional matters, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
• Shadow the founder for the first 6-12 months, developing a deep understanding of strategic disputes work at the highest level.

You will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial disputes (litigation and/or arbitration).
• Background in a top-tier or boutique disputes firm - or in-house within a litigation funder or asset recovery consultancy.
• Strong grasp of civil procedure, cross-border enforcement, freezing orders, or fraud-related disputes.
• Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
• Confident managing high-value, fast-moving matters with minimal supervision.
• Hungry, ambitious, and self-driven - thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.
• This role is not open to qualified solicitors.
