The firm has identified a need for a future partner, creating an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious 5-7 PQE project development lawyer to join the platform and position themselves for future partnership.

The role will suit a high-calibre lawyer currently practising at a leading international or US law firm, with established experience advising Middle Eastern clients on complex project development matters. Candidates must bring both the technical strength expected of a top-tier practice and a demonstrable understanding of the regional market.

The work spans major infrastructure developments, power, water concessions and renewable energy projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, alongside broader mandates throughout the Middle East and Africa. The successful candidate will advise sponsors, developers, lenders and procuring authorities on significant, high-value projects.

Candidates must have:

• 5-7 years' PQE in project development.
• Current experience at a leading international or US law firm.
• A strong track record advising Middle Eastern clients on project development matters.
• The ambition and commercial awareness to contribute to the growth of a leading regional practice.

• Real mentorship: You often work directly with the lead partner rather than reporting up through multiple layers of senior associates. You get brought into negotiations early, trained on deal tactics, and given genuine visibility with sponsor deal teams.

• Sensible hours culture: While it is still a front-line private equity practice and deals have crunches, the team manages workflow realistically. You will not face manufactured deadlines, face-time culture, or unnecessary late-night fire drills.

• No black box progression: High retention, zero sharp elbows, and a very flat, supportive team dynamic.

• 2-4 PQE (England & Wales qualified with London PE experience).

• Solid background in sponsor-backed private equity M&A from a reputable City, US, or magic/silver circle practice.

• Confident on the core drafting and commercial mechanics (locked-box, W&I, leakages, equity structures).
