Interim Senior Legal Counsel - Financial Services / Banking | 5-6 Months
We are looking for an experienced Interim Senior Legal Counsel to join an internationally focused banking organisation.
This is a broad, senior-level role requiring a commercially astute lawyer with strong legal risk management skills, excellent judgement and the confidence to advise on complex, varied and sometimes unfamiliar matters.
The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in financial services regulation, with exposure to banking, payments, prudential requirements (including CRR), regulatory licensing and cross-border legal issues. Experience supporting international expansion or establishing operations in new jurisdictions would be particularly relevant.
We are not looking for a specialist in every area, but rather a versatile, intellectually agile lawyer who can quickly get to grips with novel issues, identify material risks and provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice to senior stakeholders.
This would suit an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Deputy Head of Legal or Head of Legal who is comfortable operating autonomously in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Funds / Asset Management - Lawyer | Investment Bank | London - contract position (6 months)
Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for someone with hands-on experience across fund formation, structuring and registrations, ideally combined with some knowledge of derivatives.
This is a particularly interesting role for someone who enjoys the more technical and bespoke end of the funds space. The work will include exposure to structures such as UCITS, Jersey unit trusts and Cayman unit trusts, including vehicles used to manage QIS exposure through derivatives and other underlying assets.
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in areas such as:
* Fund set-up, registrations and ongoing fund documentation
* Understanding of fund structures and underlying management documentation
* Derivatives / structured products exposure
* QIS and more bespoke investment structures
* Broader regulatory knowledge within asset management
The team is open-minded on background. This could suit a funds lawyer, experienced paralegal, or someone coming from a Big Four / professional services environment who has strong practical experience of establishing and registering funds.
This will initially be a contract position, with the potential to become permanent.

Funds Services Counsel - Depositary Services & Fund Administration - 12 month contract
We are currently recruiting for a Funds Services EMEA Counsel to join a leading international investment bank, supporting its Depositary Services and Fund Administration/Accounting businesses on a 12 month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a financial services lawyer with 4+ years' PQE and relevant Funds Services experience to join an established EMEA legal team.
The successful candidate will ideally bring:
* 4+ years' PQE
* Strong Financial Services experience, particularly within Funds Services
* Experience advising on Depositary Services
* Knowledge of Fund Administration and/or Fund Accounting Services
* Experience reviewing and negotiating relevant commercial and service agreements
* A strong understanding of the regulatory environment affecting funds and fund service providers
* The ability to work closely with business, product, compliance and other stakeholders across EMEA
Experience gained within an investment bank, global custodian, depositary, fund administrator, asset manager or leading law firm would be particularly relevant.
