In-House Counsel - Banking & Finance
A leading global asset manager is looking to hire a Legal Counsel into its London-based Wealth Management legal team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced banking and finance lawyer to join an established in-house team, advising on a varied mix of lending, financing and treasury matters. The role would suit someone with a strong background in secured lending and finance documentation who is looking to take on a broad commercial advisory position within a global financial services business.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising on a range of lending products and financing arrangements for private clients, family offices and corporate entities.
- Negotiating and advising on finance agreements and associated security arrangements.
- Supporting transactions from initial structuring through to completion, including amendments, refinancings and more complex credit matters.
- Providing legal support on treasury activities, funding structures and securities financing.
- Advising on cross-border financing transactions and working with international colleagues on multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Supporting the development of new products and advising on relevant legal and regulatory considerations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Around 8+ years' PQE, although there is flexibility for the right person.
- A strong banking and finance background, with experience in secured lending and related documentation.
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
- The ability to provide clear, commercially focused advice and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
Experience in treasury, financial markets, private banking or wealth management would be beneficial but is not essential. UK-qualified lawyers or those with an equivalent common-law qualification will be considered.
