Legal Counsel - TMT/Commercial

UK&I - London
Permanent
£100k - £150k

A leading global asset manager is looking to hire a Legal Counsel into its London-based Corporate Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established investment institution in a broad commercial role, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.

The role would suit a 3-5 PQE lawyer, ideally from a private practice background, with a TMT focus and strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including IT and outsourcing contracts, software licences, market data agreements and master services agreements.
  • Advising on supplier arrangements, professional services agreements, NDAs and other third-party contracts.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across IT, Procurement, Marketing, Finance and other business functions to support commercial negotiations.
  • Advising on amendments and terminations of existing agreements.
  • Supporting improvements to contract management processes and working collaboratively with the wider legal team.
  • Managing a varied workload and building relationships with stakeholders across the UK and wider international business.

This is a strong opportunity for a TMT lawyer looking to make the move in-house within a leading investment manager. The role offers genuine breadth across commercial matters, exposure to a range of business functions and the chance to take ownership of contracts and work directly with stakeholders in a sophisticated financial services environment.
