I'm working with a leading international law firm on a genuinely rare opportunity within its highly regarded Private Equity/M&A practice in London.

The firm is looking to hire a Practice Manager to work closely with the Partners and Associates across the team. This would be a particularly interesting opportunity for a transactional lawyer who is starting to think about life beyond fee earning but doesn't want to step away from the action.

This isn't a traditional administrative or operational Practice Manager role. The firm is specifically looking for someone with a transactional legal background who understands how a busy transactional practice operates and can use that experience in a broader, highly influential position within the team.

A key focus will be resourcing, workflow and Associate development, working closely with Partners to understand deal requirements, manage Associate capacity and ensure work is allocated effectively. You'll build strong relationships across the team, supporting Associates with career development, mentoring and performance, while balancing individual development with the commercial needs of the practice.

You will also be involved across training, lateral hiring, workforce planning, business development and wider practice strategy. Practice Management is already an established and highly valued function within the firm, and this role will help expand that successful model into the Private Equity/M&A teams across London.

The firm are keen to meet transactional lawyers with:

• 3+ years' post-qualification experience, gained within a leading law firm or equivalent in-house environment.
• Experience within Private Equity and/or M&A, although this is not essential.
• A genuine interest in the people, strategy and management side of legal practice, particularly areas such as resourcing, career development, mentoring and training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with Partners, Associates and senior stakeholders.

You will be surrounded by high-quality transactional work and will remain closely involved with the Partners and Associates delivering it - you'll just be contributing from a different angle.

Document Review Paralegal / Lawyer - Public Inquiry

Remote | Sheffield | SC Clearance Required

I'm working with a leading law firm looking to bring on Paralegals and Lawyers to support a major Public Inquiry.

The role will be predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the Inquiry office in Sheffield and other locations across the UK to assist with the review of hard copy documents held in archives.

The firm are keen to speak with Paralegals and Lawyers with:

• Current SC clearance
• Previous Public Inquiry experience
• Experience with document review, disclosure and relevance review, ideally using Relativity
• Experience with redaction and/or witness statement preparation
• Flexibility to travel within the UK for occasional short periods

A leading international US law firm is looking to recruit a junior Billing Assistant / Coordinator to join its London finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their finance career who is looking to build specialist billing experience within a highly regarded professional services environment.

Previous law firm experience is not essential. The firm is very happy to consider candidates from other sectors who have good general finance knowledge, strong numeracy skills and, most importantly, the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Working closely with the wider Billing and Finance team, the role will include supporting the monthly billing cycle, preparing and amending invoices and proformas, maintaining billing information, producing reports, assisting with WIP, uploading invoices through eBilling systems and helping to resolve straightforward billing queries.

As your experience develops, you will gradually take ownership of a small portfolio of routine billing matters from start to finish.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, numerate and detail-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Some knowledge of VAT would be useful, alongside Excel skills and previous exposure to finance, accounts or billing.

Experience within a law firm, professional services business, 3E or electronic billing systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
