Regulatory Legal Counsel | AVP | London
A leading international financial institution is seeking a Regulatory Legal Counsel to join its London-based legal team.
The role offers early responsibility for complex regulatory matters, advising on financial services regulation, public law and exchange rules, as well as supporting new products and strategic business initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide practical legal advice across a range of regulatory and commercial matters.
- Advise on regulatory developments and changes affecting commodity derivatives.
- Support new products, projects and business initiatives.
- Conduct legal research and draft advice, documentation and consultation responses.
- Work closely with business teams and external counsel.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with approximately 0-4 years' PQE
- Experience in financial services regulation, gained in private practice, an in-house legal team, a regulator or trade body.
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills, with sound commercial judgement.
- An interest in financial markets and commodities.
