We are currently working with a Top 20 Private Equity partner who is looking to hire a senior private equity lawyer. The practice is in growth mode and continues to climb the rankings.
The team advises on a range of sponsor-focused mid to upper-market transactions, with a strong emphasis on cross-border mandates across multiple sectors.
The ideal candidate will be:
- UK or Common Law qualified
- Ideally 5-8 PQE (exceptional candidates outside this range will also be considered)
- Solid experience in Private Equity, either solely or alongside broader corporate M&A work

2020-2022 qualified Sponsor side Leveraged Finance and Private Credit associate
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of primary debt documentation, including senior/unitranche credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, and equity kickers.
- Advise financial sponsors, private credit funds, and alternative lenders on European LBO financings, refinancings, and dividend recapitalisations.
- Manage multi-jurisdictional debt execution, working directly with deal sponsors, credit committees, and corporate borrowers.
- Mentor junior associates on technical documentation while running transactions independently alongside partners.
- Broad Market Coverage: Work across both borrower/sponsor mandates and top-tier direct lender/private credit funds rather than being pigeonholed on one side of the table.
- Unlayered Execution: Lean partner-to-associate ratios mean you will act as the lead associate on major transactions, gaining the senior exposure needed for partnership consideration.
