Trade Finance in-house Counsel - Transactional Banking

Our client is a leading fintech who is expanding its London Legal team and as such is seeking a Legal Counsel (3-7 PQE) with experience in financial services regulation and / or payments or broader fintech experience.

The role will advise across the business on payments and regulatory change, product launches and market expansion, while working with regulators and supporting cross-border projects.

The ideal candidate will have some UK payments regulatory knowledge, excellent commercial judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment. In-house or private practice experience is welcomed, with fintech, payments or financial services experience advantageous.

Prior crypto or blockchain experience could also be interesting and beneficial as the skillsets are very transferable.

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Vice President-level Leveraged Finance Lawyer to join the legal team of a leading international investment bank.

This is a broad transactional role supporting cross-border leveraged finance transactions across Europe, advising from deal origination through to execution, portfolio management and restructuring. You'll work closely with front-office teams on a wide range of financing transactions, documentation and strategic legal matters in a fast-paced, international environment.

We're keen to speak with lawyers who have:
- Strong leveraged finance transaction experience gained in private practice or in-house.
- Experience advising financial institutions, sponsors or other market participants.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A commercial, solutions-focused approach.

Foreign-qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply, and we're particularly interested in candidates qualified in England & Wales, New York, Australia, Canada or European jurisdictions.

Additional language skills, particularly French, Spanish, Italian or German, would be highly advantageous but are not essential.
