The role will sit within a highly regarded transactional practice advising on a broad range of corporate matters, including private equity transactions, acquisitions and disposals, investments, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their legal career to gain hands-on experience within a busy and commercially focused corporate team.
The firm is very open on background and does not require candidates to already have extensive paralegal or corporate experience. Of greater importance is finding someone intelligent, enthusiastic, commercially minded and genuinely interested in developing within corporate law.
Working closely with partners and associates, the successful candidate will provide support across a range of corporate transactions and matters.
Responsibilities are likely to include:

The precise responsibilities will develop as the successful candidate gains experience, making this a particularly good opportunity for someone looking to build strong foundations in transactional legal work.
The firm is open to applications from law graduates, non-law graduates undertaking or having completed the PGDL, SQE candidates and junior paralegals.
Previous corporate or private equity experience would be useful but is not essential.
Candidates should demonstrate:
  • Strong academics
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in corporate and commercial law
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Commercial awareness
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • A willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
Previous vacation schemes, internships, legal work experience or exposure to corporate transactions would be advantageous but are not prerequisites.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their legal career within an established and successful corporate practice and gain exposure to high-quality transactional work.
