Global Markets Paralegal - NDA Review

UK&I - London
Contract
Up to £50k

We are working with a leading global financial institution that is looking to appoint an experienced paralegal to join its Global Markets legal team in London for an initial six-month assignment.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal support to the business, with a particular focus on reviewing, negotiating and managing non-disclosure agreements across a range of Global Markets activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded paralegal to join a highly regarded in-house legal team and gain broad exposure to an international financial services business.

The paralegal will take responsibility for reviewing and negotiating a high volume of NDAs on behalf of the Global Markets businesses.

Working closely with lawyers and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will help ensure agreements are progressed efficiently while identifying legal, commercial and operational issues that may require escalation.

Responsibilities are expected to include:

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating non-disclosure agreements
  • Managing NDA requests from initial instruction through to completion
  • Liaising with internal business teams, legal colleagues and external counterparties
  • Identifying non-standard or higher-risk provisions and escalating these appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking the progress of agreements
  • Supporting the wider Global Markets legal team when required
  • Helping to ensure matters are handled efficiently and in line with internal policies and procedures

Applicants should have previous paralegal experience involving the review or negotiation of NDAs, confidentiality agreements or other commercial contracts.

Experience gained within a bank, financial institution, law firm, investment business or other fast-paced commercial environment would be particularly useful.

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience reviewing and negotiating NDAs
  • Strong drafting and document-review skills
  • The confidence to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to identify issues and understand when matters require escalation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • A practical and commercially focused approach
  • The ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider legal team
  • Availability to begin an interim assignment at short notice

Previous Global Markets or financial services experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong NDA and commercial-contracts experience from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.

This role offers the chance to join the London legal team of a major international financial institution and work closely with a broad range of Global Markets stakeholders.

The assignment will initially run for six months, with the successful candidate expected to begin as soon as possible.
