Real Estate Paralegal - Residential Conveyancing
A well-regarded UK law firm is looking to appoint a Real Estate Paralegal to join its busy residential property team in London.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience who enjoys being involved in live matters and wants to build strong, hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of residential property transactions. The vacancy has arisen because the current post holder is starting a training contract, so it would suit someone ambitious, hardworking and keen to develop within a supportive legal environment.
Working closely with a solicitor, you will assist with a range of residential conveyancing files from initial instruction through to post-completion. The role will involve regular liaison with clients and third parties, as well as providing administrative and transactional support throughout the conveyancing process.
Typical duties will include file opening, AML compliance, exchange, completion and post-completion administration, drafting financial statements and invoices, submitting AP1 and SDLT forms, updating internal and external systems, archiving and general matter administration. You will also have client contact under supervision.
Previous conveyancing experience gained in a legal environment is essential. Ideally, you will have a law degree, although strong practical experience will also be important. You should be confident working to deadlines, able to use your initiative, commercially aware and comfortable dealing with clients and colleagues in a professional manner.
This is a full-time role based in London, with some hybrid working potentially available after probation and appropriate training.

Purchase Ledger & Office Cashier
A strong UK law firm is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger & Office Cashier to join its Brighton office.
This is a broad, hands-on finance role, ideally suited to someone with experience in a legal finance environment, although candidates from a professional services background with strong purchase ledger experience will also be considered.
The firm is open to either an experienced legal cashier with good exposure across the core cashiering areas, or someone with strong purchase ledger experience who is keen to develop further within a legal finance setting. Billing experience is not essential.
The role will include responsibility for purchase ledger processes, posting payments, office account reconciliations, direct debits and standing orders, bank charges, credit card postings and administration, Companies House invoices, panel invoices, referral fees, commission postings, breach reporting and assisting auditors with queries.
On the client side, the role will also involve supporting with e-chits, client payments during busy periods, charity transfers, interest payments, cheque registers, suspense account monitoring and the return of unclaimed funds.
The successful candidate will be organised, accurate and confident working with numbers, with strong attention to detail and the ability to support colleagues across a busy finance function. Prior legal cashiering experience would be highly beneficial, but the firm will also consider candidates from wider professional services finance backgrounds where there is strong purchase ledger experience.
